The Kedarnath Temple, situated in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,583 m, is one of the most revered Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. According to legend, the Pandavas built the temple after the Kurukshetra war to seek forgiveness from Shiva. The temple is believed to be built by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century near the site of the original shrine. Despite facing natural calamities, including the devastating floods of 2013, the temple stands strong as a symbol of faith and resilience.
