Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (1891–1956) was an Indian jurist, economist, politician, and social reformer who fought against social discrimination towards the untouchables (Dalits). He was the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and served as independent India's first Law and Justice Minister.
